Former Messalonskee HS and USM Huskies standout Sam Dexter keeps moving up in the Chicago White Sox farm system. He has been promoted to their Class A Advanced team at Winston-Salem in the Carolina League.

Dexter has played in two games for the Dash and is 2-for-5 with a RBI. He plays second base.

Dexter was drafted in the 23rd round by the White Sox last June after his senior year at USM.

In his first full season of professional ball, Dexter started this year with the White Sox Rookie League team in Great Falls, Montana. He was promoted to Class A Kannapolis and now goes up to Class A Advanced in Winston-Salem.

The next stop on the Chicago farm system ladder would be Double A Birmingham.
