When I think Windsor Fair, I think harness racing, fair food, and a chance to see old friends and make new ones. I also think of fall on the way, as the Windsor Fair runs through Labor Day, and signals the unofficial end of Summer in Maine.

Growing up in Augusta always meant a few trips to the Fair a week, and I have kept up the tradition as an adult.

A lot has changed over the years at Windsor, but for the most part, the fair remains the same.

Encompassing 275 acres, it is one of the largest agricultural fairs with attendance estimated at over 150,000. You will find daily entertainment featuring the best in local talent, a huge exhibit of farm animals, and nine days of harness racing with some of the highest purses of the year.

And of course, there is the food!
