The Winthrop Police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store early Tuesday (March 4) morning. Police Chief Joseph Young, Sr. described the robber as wearing pajama bottoms and a white mask.

The man entered the Circle K Convenience Store and Gas Station on Main Street just before 3:30 a.m. He pointed a handgun and demanded money before running out of the store.

According to the department's facebook page:

Winthrop Police with the assistance of a Maine State Police, K9 handler searched the immediate area for evidence and direction of travel. The lone Robber displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cashier and then left the store on foot with an unspecified amount of cash. The Robber is described as white male, brown eyes, in the early 20s, approximately 5’7” to 6’00” tall, wearing a white mask, Dark colored hoodie with the logo on the back, 'Support the Twins.'
