The holidays and family go hand in hand and when I saw on Facebook that Norm Karkos from WMTW had featured my families restaurant in a Hometown Maine segment, it brought back many childhood memories and made me smile and tear up at the same time.

I'd like to thank Norm Karkos and WMTW for the wonderful story on Simones' Hot Dog Stand in Lewiston. Jimmy is my cousin and his father George and my father, Nestor Simones, had owned the restaurant for many years.

My dad sold his half of the restaurant to his brother back in the 70's, while I was growing up. My cousin and his wife Linda and children George and Melissa have done a great job with the business.

The video story shows a couple of pictures of my dad. Seeing this truly made my holidays!
