It’s a title you know won’t be held for long and Gertrude Weaver held the title for only six days. At 116 years old, she was the oldest person in the world.

Gertrude lived at the Silver Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center in Camden, Arkansas. She died Monday after holding the world's oldest person title for only 6 days. Ms. Weaver would have turned 117 on July 4th. She even invited President Obama to her birthday party.

Weaver became the oldest person in the world after 117 year old Misao Okawa of Japan died.

Gertrude Weaver died from complications from pneumonia. Taking her place as the oldest person is 115 year old Jeralean Tally of Detroit, Michigan.
