The Martin Aircraft Company of New Zealand says ‘The Martin Jetpack’ will be available by the end of next year. It’s ‘jet pack’ that will be sold to everyone.

Daredevils in the 1950's used to strap a ‘jetpack’ on their back and fly through the air, it was even in an early James Bond movie. Now, the company says, you can have one for the ‘low, low’ cost of $150,000. Current models will travel at speeds of 45 miles per hour for at least 30 minutes and since you can reach a height of 3,000 feet, a parachute is attached.

While anyone with $150,000 can own one, the company’s main clients will be ‘first responders’ and ‘government agencies’.
