Here at the radio station I am the news director. Every morning I get up super early to paw through all the news of the last 24 hours and make decisions on what makes into the news for that day. I have been doing for a very long time.  There is a major growing and reoccurring theme in many stories in the last few years....drugs!  Growing like an invasive weed choking our community. So a big salute to community leaders in Augusta for organizing a public conversation about this issue!

Neighbors Uniting to Address Opiates in Augusta will happen on January 11th from 6-7:30 p.m. Hear the story of how opiates are affecting the community from community.  You are an import part of this. This group of community, public and healthcare officials, but they don’t have all the answers, you are part of the process. Your voice is needed for small group discussions to identify what can be done to keep our community safe.

So, anyone who lives, works, plays, and worships or spends time in Augusta are welcomed!

Light snacks will be served!
