If haunted houses are part of your October plans, Bangor has one that definitely leans all the way into the scare factor.

Maineiac Manor is back inside the Bangor Mall, and the attraction describes itself as one of Maine’s most uniquely detailed haunted experiences. The setup includes 30 rooms spread across roughly 6,500 square feet, all designed to send visitors through dark hallways, creepy corridors and a winding path where you’re largely left to find your own way out.

Unlike a guided haunted tour, Maineiac Manor lets groups move through the attraction at their own pace. The haunt recommends going through with a private group of four or fewer for the most intense experience, which probably makes every strange noise and sudden movement feel that much closer.

The attraction is located inside the Bangor Mall, directly across from Spencer’s and next to Spirit Halloween. Visitors going after mall hours are instructed to use Spirit Halloween’s exterior entrance to access the haunt.

Maineiac Manor’s website says the experience is built around unsettling visuals, eerie sounds and detailed scenes that can make it difficult to tell what’s part of the set and what may actually be waiting to scare you.

For horror fans looking for an indoor Halloween attraction in Maine this October, Maineiac Manor offers a full haunted-house experience without having to worry about cold weather or rain.
