A Turner cannabis shop has now been hit by burglars twice in less than a week.

According to the owners of 45 Degrees North Cannabis Co., security cameras captured two masked suspects smashing a front window early Tuesday morning before climbing into the store. Once inside, the pair allegedly destroyed glass display cases and stole cannabis products, paraphernalia, and even the cash register.

WGME is reporting that co-owner Jon Nadeau says the damage was extensive, with nearly every glass countertop and display case inside the store shattered. He estimates more than $10,000 worth of cannabis products may have been stolen during the latest break-in alone.

The store had also been broken into just days earlier, making the second incident even more frustrating for staff and owners. The business was forced to close temporarily Tuesday while crews cleaned up the mess and repaired the damage before reopening later in the day, the news station reported.

In response, the shop has now installed bars on its windows for added security. Nadeau says the toughest part has been watching employees become fearful about coming to work.

The Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office says it is investigating both break-ins and looking into whether the crimes are connected. Anyone with information is being asked to contact investigators or the business directly.
