
Rockport, Maine’s Donut Festival Brings the Sweetness This Weekend
Let’s talk donuts, shall we? Who doesn’t love the most traditionally delicious dessert ever? I’ve got an event coming that you will not want to miss.
This isn’t just a sweet tooth’s dream come true babes, it’s an event of history and community. This weekend Rockport, Maine is hosting the Annual Rockport Donut Festival and all are welcome!
The bakers are getting ready to wow us all! They are also asking if you are an amateur baker to show us what you got! Check out their Facebook page, below!
Here’s a cool Snapple fact about donuts, did you know the actual inventor of the donut hole itself comes from Rockport Maine, according to Turtle Bun Bury. Yes, his name is Captain Hansen Gregory and thanks to him, we can now enjoy the very best of traditional American breakfast treats. He’s a donut legend.
Donuts, Dashes, and Disco: Rockport’s Sweetest Weekend of the Year!
This is the 3rd annual donut festival and goes from June 13–14, as per the site.
This is a two-day bash and Friday night you’ll be entertained with live music from the Mallett Brothers! Saturday morning you’ll have a jazzy morning hour with the Breakers Jazz Band. And if you are feeling competitive you can lace up your sneakers for a Donut Dash 5k!
And get this! There is even a donut dip in the Rockport Harbor on Saturday at 3pm. So brace yourself for so much fun and so many different types of donuts! Best part? Admission is FREE!

And whatever you do you cannot miss the ultimate disco party band, Motor Booty Affair closing out the event on 7:30pm on Saturday evening.
