Hank & Artie's, a smash burger place, has been popping up around Portland, Maine, for nearly a year and now has a trailer with a permanent home.

Mainebiz shared that not only will Hank & Artie's have a new home at Argenta Brewing Lager Saloon in Portland, Maine, but they've got what's called an 'extra fancy burger' on the menu. (not pictured). Look for Hank & Artie's new home in May.

Hank & Artie's step up the smash burger game in Portland, Maine

Hank & Artie's is the creation of chef Sean Telo. He's focusing on a classic smash burger with his new food truck. But there's some serious heart and science behind what appears to be a pretty simple menu item. In a press release, he said in part,

At Hank & Artie's, we're all about classic smash burgers done right — simple, nostalgic, and made with the best local ingredients. With our commitment to hyper-local Maine sourcing, we're creating an experience that's as fresh, local, and authentic as it gets.

How can a burger at a Portland, Maine, food truck cost $35?

First, you must read why Chef Telo uses pasture-raised grass-fed beef from Cold Spring Ranch in New Portland. It's the heart and science to his craft.  The menu is simple and small, but there are a couple of house specials, including the 'extra fancy burger'. It includes seared foie gras, red wine syrup, sour pickles, and cheese. And really, these days with prices what they are, $35 isn't that outrageous. I'm not a fan of foie gras, or I'd be all over this. (not pictured)

“There are a few essential elements you find in the spirit of a Mainer, a humble appreciation of well-crafted things, wit dry enough you may not know when the joke ends and when it begins, and most importantly, a love for the land and the Sea.” -Anthony Bourdain

I cannot wait to try these burgers! I love Chef Telo's ideology, and I want to support someone so dedicated to supporting Maine. Plus, Argenta's beer is the perfect match.
