I Ranked 3 Classic Maine Foods, and You’re Probably Gonna Hate It
Okay, here we go!
Let's talk about three of the most popular foods in Maine. The locals will immediately understand their significance to the state, and then I'm gonna simply rank them and see if you get mad at me.
I'm going to Barstool's Dave Portnoy pizza review on you with the ranking system, and we might fight about it. 0-10 is the ranking system, and 100 percent is only my personal opinion.
Let's ride.
Whoopie Pies
4/10. I love them when I only take one bite, but then after that they're just too much.
I wanted to go lower but I also recognize they're just not my thing and everybody else loves them. So we'll compromise and still go with a 4 sorry.
I'm more of an oatmeal cream pie from the '90s kinda girl.
Red Hot Dogs
I feel like this is the one we're going to fight over.

Unfortunately, the one I tried was at some dive bar in the old port for free, so I'm sure that didn't help their cause, but I still hated it.
Maine wild blueberries
11/10. Hands down the blueberries that get harvested out of Maine in the blueberry barrens will be the best tasting berries you'll ever try.
Beer brewers figured out how to make blueberry beers, bakers make delicious pies with them, there's just so many things we do with them up here and I love it.
