No, Brunswick, Maine’s The Great Impasta Isn’t Closing, It’s Just Moving
If you've recently been trying to enjoy some delicious authentic Italian at The Great Impasta in Brunswick, Maine, you may have noticed that it hasn't been open for business.
Thankfully, any fears that the longstanding restaurant closed for good can be squashed.
Turns out, some big changes are coming.
According to a short Facebook post from The Great Impasta, the restaurant is relocating from its 42 Maine Street spot to a place with a much larger dining room for its guests.
While the address of the new spot hasn't been revealed yet, a comment from the restaurant on another Facebook post reveals that they are "moving to a new location right down the road."
They also note that they plan on opening in November if all goes well.
If one of your guesses as to where The Great Impasta was headed is the now-closed Joshua's Restaurant, according to the Harpswell Anchor, that spot has already been scooped up by local restaurateurs who have plans to open a new tavern there.
Thankfully, The Great Impasta is staying in Brunswick, and more details will be announced soon.
The popular Italian restaurant has been around since 1984, according to its website, and is looking to celebrate its 40th year in business while continuing to deliver fresh and delicious meals.
