Wheel of Fortune Live Returning to Portland, Maine, and You Could Be a Contestant
Wheel of Fortune Live is coming back to Merrill Auditorium on Thursday, October 3, and you could be picked to be a contestant at the show.
The show is a mini version of the show you watch on TV.
Don't expect Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White to be here for the show. Seacrest already has enough on his plate, and Pat Sajak has retired from Wheel after 41 years of giving the wheel a final spin.
There have been several people who have hosted the traveling Wheel of Fortune Live show, including Clay Aiken and Mark L. Walberg.
This time around it looks like it will be Bob Goen, the only Wheel Live host to have hosted the real Wheel of Fortune. So he knows his stuff.
The show tours the country, similar to The Price is Right Live, which is also coming back to Portland.
The wheel is smaller, the puzzle board is smaller and the prizes are smaller, but it still it a lot of fun.
So how do you become a contestant? First, you need to get tickets at PortTix.com. There are still tickets left but they're going fast.
Here's how to be chosen as a contestant according to the Wheel of Fortune Live website.
Registration for the chance to win prizes and/or be randomly selected to play “Wheel of Fortune Live” the on-stage experience (not the TV show) takes place both online in advance through an email from the venue and in person on the day of the show.
Each eligible person will complete the registration process by supplying their name, e-mail address (if available) and month and numerical day of birth (i.e.1/31) for entry into the registration system.
Guests will have the opportunity to pre-register by entering their information online prior to arriving at the venue. That registration will be emailed to ticket buyers from the venues. Once confirmed, it’s not necessary to complete registration in-person prior to the show to be included in the selection process.
Registration at the venue will open approximately two (2) hours before scheduled show time and will close ten minutes prior to the scheduled show time.
Good luck!
