This Maine Hotel was Named “World’s Greatest Places 2025″ By Time Magazine
A gorgeous coastal hotel in Maine was just named one of Time Magazine's "World's Greatest Places in 2025."
Before we dive into the hotel - what an honor.
I don't think there is a more prestigious title than being recognized as one of the "World's Greatest Places."
The Viewpoint Hotel, York, Maine:
Time Magazine was right, the Viewpoint Hotel in York, Maine is stunning.
The Viewpoint overlooks Nubble Lighthouse - one of the most recognizable landmarks in New England.
Whether it is covered in snow or glistening over the water from the summer sun, Nubble Light House, and the view of it from the Viewpoint Hotel, is a gorgeous epitome of Maine.
Time Magazine highlighted the shoreside rooms (newer, curved, concrete construction overlooking the coast) as one of the perks at the Viewpoint Hotel.
And I couldn't agree more.
The upgraded, shoreside rooms are a tribute to Nubble Point's past.
According to the Viewpoint website, in 1950, the Cabana Colony was the first hotel on Nubble Point.
70 years later, the seven new, self-contained shoreside rooms are nestled into the hillside and overlooking Nubble Lighthouse...just like the original concept 70 years ago.
And today...those rooms...those views...do NOT disappoint.
