Skowhegan’s Celebration Of Bread Gets National Praise

The annual Kneading Conference and Artisan Bread Fair at the Skowhegan State Fairgrounds has only been around since 2010, it evolved from The Kneading Conference that started in 2007. The Artisan Bread Fair has made the CNN Quirky 15 List.

This is a list of places in 2015 that are unique and to have people put on their radar to check out in 2015.

CNN called the Skowhegan Artisan Bread Fair, 'If you love good bread, the hand-baked variety, not the store-bought stuff, you'll flip for the three day Kneading Conference and Artisan Bread Fair in the picturesque town of Skowhegan on the Kennebec River.'

The event is held at the Skowhegan State Fairgrounds and activities include the two-day Kneading Conference, including expert lectures and workshops. The Artisan Bread Fair brings in dozens of vendors who make, sell and teach about bread.
