It seems pretty far fetched but, new research suggests that being exposed to a light source during the night when you are sleeping, either from the TV or a light outside, or even a night light, may increase the risk of weight gain and obesity in women.

These speculations have been tossed around for years by medical experts. There were previous studies however, those have been in animals but, they have also suggested that when exposed to light at night it may disrupt sleep, mess with your heart rhythms, alter eating behaviors, and promote weight gain.
