Young Connor has been dealing with illness his whole life. Recently he's been dealing with a great deal of pain and is asking for cards to lift his spirits.
December is ‘Bingo’ month. The game made its debut in December of 1921 and has been a popular game ever since. The original name was ‘Beano’ until toy salesman, Edwin S. Lowe, heard an excited winner yell out ‘bingo’ when they won a game at a carnival.
I have worked in radio for 9 years now and I have been so blessed to have met so many wonderful people. I have been the recipient of a slew of well wishes, whether it was getting better from my surgery, the birth of Anderson or even hitting the moose!

Well, yesterday, if you were all listening to B98.5, I wasn't able to get to work. Not only did the best babysitter in the world get stuck in her driveway, but I got stuck in MY driveway with the BEE van!
So, Brad, Anderson and I decided to pass the time...playing cards!

One of the projects of theKousinoc Chapter of the Daughter of the American Revolution is sending Valentines to those in the Veterans Homes. But they need your help. An email I received from a fellow DAR member (yes, I am DAR!) said the number of Valentines to Togus have fallen over the years. But if we all do an extra card or two we can change that.
I grew up playing games ALL THE TIME! We had so many board games. We had Parcheesi, Life, Monopoly, Scrabble, Battleship, Chutes and Ladders, Candyland...all the greats!
My parents were incredible card players. They taught me how to play Solitaire at 5. I was also my father's Pinoccle partner at age 8.
But there is one game I JUST learned how to play!
Yesterday at the KVYMCA, our trainer Alisha was out sick. Her entire family has the flu. So we had to come up with a plan of action! A deck of cards would work just fine. How, you ask? Well, here's how!
