The annual Moxie Festival is this Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Lisbon and Lisbon Falls. Moxie became the official soft drink of Maine on May 10, 2005 and was created in 1876 by Dr. Augustin Thompson, who was born in Union, Maine.

Coming this Friday and Saturday, July 11-12 is the Le Festival de la Bastille at the Calumet Club in Augusta. Live music, fun and fireworks are on the agenda for the two days, but why do the French celebrate Bastille Day?  calumetclub.com

From everyone I have talked to about the Taste of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain, New York, it is a fantastic 3 day event. People that have been there last year say it was beyond the expectations. The 2014 version is coming soon.
