It sure didn't take long for gas prices to soar past two dollars per gallon. According to the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com, the average for a gallon of gas in Maine is now at $2.19 per gallon. That is up nine cents per gallon over last week.

In Presidential elections, the old saying was 'as Maine goes, so goes the nation', that's not the case this week when it comes to gas prices. Gas prices in Maine went up just under one cent per gallon this week for a statewide average of $2.10. Nationally, gas prices were down a little over one cent per gallon for an average of $2.04 per gallon.

Remember the good ole days when gas was under $2 a gallon? Gas prices in Maine zoomed past the $2 per gallon average last week and show no signs of slowing down. According to the price monitoring website GasBuddy.com, the average for a gallon of gas in Maine is now at $2.09. That's up four cents per gallon.

Well that didn't take long!  Gas prices in Maine skyrocketed by almost 10 cents per gallon this week and are averaging over $2 per gallon. The statewide average is now at $2.05 per gallon. The national average is now at $2.04 per gallon, up over five cents per gallon this week.

Last week Mainers saw gas prices jump by 10 cents per gallon, this week they are higher by almost five cents per gallon. According to the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of gas in Maine is now at $1.953.

It sure seems like gas prices go higher a lot quicker than they go down. According to the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com, gas prices in Maine went up 9.9 cents per gallon this week for a statewide average of $1.904.

According to the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com, gas prices in Maine were about 2.5 cents per gallon higher for a statewide average of $1.805, that compares to last weeks average of $1.779.

After several weeks of gas prices dropping in Maine, this week they barely inched up less than a half cent per gallon for a statewide average of $1.78 per gallon. That's according to the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com.

According to the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com, the average for a gallon of gas in Maine was down just under two cents a gallon this week for an average of $1.776. However, nationally the average was up about one and a half cent per gallon to $1.711.

According to the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com, the average for a gallon of gas in Maine is at $1.795 a gallon, that is down from $1.851 from last week. Nationally, the average went from $1.736 to $1.695.

I have to admit, that I often let out a little yelp as I drive by the gas station by my house and see that the price has dropped again. This week, according to the website, GasBuddy.com, gas prices in Maine were down 5.6 cents per gallon this week for an average of $1.92.

As oil prices dropped to under $30 per barrel, gas prices in Maine tumbled over seven cents per gallon this week for a statewide average of $1.97 per gallon. Prices are according to the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com.
