If all goes according to plan, members of the Maine Army National Guard won’t have to leave the state for large training and shooting exercises.
The Maine Army National Guard is having a hard time getting new recruits to join the service. It’s not that 17 to 24 year olds don’t want to join but the lack the proper education or police records or not being able to meet physical standards are keeping them out.
Sergeant First Class Joshua Way received the Maine Army National Guard’s ‘Meritorious Service Medal’. He received the award for saving a young boys life.
While at the Walmart in Augusta at the Augusta Marketplace, the Maine Army National Guard is helping out our 'Tanks'giving Food Drive. Last year, PFC Julia Morrison did a pushup for every dollar that was donated. And, even though her shoulder is hurting, she has decided to try and break the record this year.
And her fellow soldiers decided to join in!
