Lithgow library is holding a pie sale this Friday, January 23. That day also happens to National Pie Day. The sale will go from noon to 6pm and there will be a nice variety to buy.

What a great Thanksgiving dinner this year at the house. We had a lot of turkey, stuffing and all the fixings including pumpkin and chocolate pie. We had 9 people at the table this year with some friends whose spouses had to work, eat with us...

I love my Pampered Chef stoneware and try and find a chance to use it as much as possible.  So, with the rainy Sunday we had, I decided to brighten the house's spirits with a little yummy dessert!

With all of the apples we picked on Sunday at the Apple Farm in Fairfield, I need to get some good use out of them! I have always been envious of people who make the apple pies at the fairs that win the blue ribbons. I don't believe I'll ever be creative enough to make such a beautiful looking pie but at least mine tastes good!
