I saw on Facebook, that our former co-host of the Morning Buzz, Sharon Hood (Buck) will be singing the National Anthem at a Portland Pirates hockey game next Wednesday night!

With Friday being my last day, I wanted to go out the way an employee of B98.5 would want to: By giving back to the community. I want to help the Pine Tree Camp one last time...but I can't do it without YOUR HELP!

This music business is one tough nut to crack. Dang it all! I now see why some songwriters just take their pencils and put them back in the drawer for long periods of time. Rejection is a hard thing....but it's not the end.

I saw this today and was absolutely AMAZED!! They are a YouTube sensation! The 3 brothers have 2 albums:  'America's Music' and 'The Farthest Horizon'. Check them out! The Sleepy Man Banjo Boys! It is composed of the Mizzone brothers: Jonny, Robbie and Tommy.

Awwww......YEAH!!!!!!!!! It's like Christmas for me! The kids are probably thanking their lucky stars they are not home with us this week because THIS WEEK my house is EXTRA full of music! That's right...I karaoke ALL DAY LONG....IN MY HOME!!! Poor Chad.....

The children of Benton Elementary had their Art Show last night and, I have to say, the creations were amazing! Anderson invited me and his grandparents, Daryl and Sylvia, to see his work last night along with Bradley's. Chad and Brad couldn't go because he had baseball practice but we made sure to find his piece, too!

Turning off the highway on exit 109A to get to the station on Western Avenue, the first thing you usually see is the bright lights of the Senator Inn & Spa and Cloud 9 Restaurant. They are very clever with their wording when advertising their latest creations and it's very entertaining. THIS sign REALLY got my attention! And it got me thinking....Could I? Would I?

The First Lady of Country Music turns 82 today! The Coal Miner's Daughter from Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, has made country music history for the past 50 years. And we are so glad she has!

The State Theater is one of the nicest places to see a concert and in May and June they are hosting 2 of the nicest country music acts! In May, the Mavericks will be hitting the stage and the following month, Kellie Pickler will be making us smile!

I have worked in radio for 9 years now and I have been so blessed to have met so many wonderful people. I have been the recipient of a slew of well wishes, whether it was getting better from my surgery, the birth of Anderson or even hitting the moose! Now, you all have outdone yourself. And you're making me cry...happy tears!
