Every year we almost forget in the middle of summer that we'll soon see another brutal New England winter rolling around.

The Farmer's Almanac, published in Lewiston, Maine, is famous for their long range weather predictions and if you are a fan of an old fashion Maine winter, this is going to be your year!

It's not what many in central Maine want to hear: The Farmer's Almanac says another rough winter is coming this year. A year after Maine and much of New England was pummeled with the snowiest winter on record, editors of the Maine-based publication are calling their latest forecast a 'winter deja vu'.

After a seemingly endless winter, Mainers can look forward to a hotter and drier than average summer. The Farmers Almanac is calling for most of the country to be hotter than average and most of the east coast to have more rain than average, expect for New England, which is foretasted to have below average rainfall.

With heating costs sky high, the Farmer's Almanac is predicting a bitterly cold and heavy snowfall for New England. The 197-year-old publication based in Lewiston,Maine has used a formula of planetary positions, sunspots and lunar cycles.
