Emmy-nominated actress Katherine Kelly Lang, an actress on the CBS daytime drama 'The Bold and the Beautiful' will be taking part in the Dempsey Challenge in October.

The 2013 Dempsey Challenge presented by Amgen is coming up on October 12th and 13th at Simard-Payne Memorial Park in Lewiston. The event, founded by actor, Maine native and avid cyclist Patrick Dempsey, is an annual fundraising event for the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Red-red-red-red-red-red-redneck, it's the annual 'Redneck Blank' Pig Roast and Music Festival this weekend in Hebron. The event draws thousands of people each year and has gained national attention, 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart' was in Hebron last year and The History Channel is expected to film the event this year!
