The weekend before Halloween you can take a ride on Maine's Ghost Train, if you dare!!!!! The Boothbay Railway Village presents their annual Ghost Train on October 28th and 29th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

A Maine legislative committee is holding a public hearing this afternoon (March 10)  at 1 on a few bills that are seeking to expand passenger train travel.

A 21 year old skateboarding stuntman tried a stunt on top of a commuter train this past Sunday. The train, in Connecticut, was bound for New York and Brian McClellen decided to try to ride on top of the train while it was moving.

China is kicking around the idea of building a high-speed train that would run from the countries northeast to the United States. The rails would cross Siberia and the Bering Straits to Alaska, across Canada then to the U.S.

A Hudson Line Metro North train that departed from Poughkeepsie, NY derailed in the Bronx at about 7:30 this morning before reaching its destination at Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. Multiple media sources report that 4 people have died and 63 others suffered injuries. NY Governor Andrew Cuomo addressed the press this morning and confirmed the deaths.

I don't know why this is so unusual. I do it all the time, but then again, I'm a little on the crazy side. However, it DOES happen! Take a look at these wacky Canadians having fun on the train.

The Amtrak Downeaster is set to expand service northward to Freeport and Brunswick in November. Crews are finishing up the work on the tracks and a ceremonial train ride from Boston will be held on November 1st. A full schedule of two round trips per day will begin on November 2nd.
