Vassalboro fire department

This is almost exactly like a scene in 'Deck the Halls.'

we can confirm several departments including Vassalboro, Windsor and Winslow (likely others) have responded to a structure fire in Vassalboro.

According to a post from the Vassalboro Fire Department's Facebook page, the department responded to a tractor trailer fire on Nelson Road in Vassalboro yesterday morning.

It's not the newest one cruising the Maine roadways in search of the next emergency, but hey, owning a firetruck of any age would be pretty darn cool.

As a parent it's one of the worst things you could possibly imagine. Your young child falling through a section of thin ice into the frigid waters below.

We have not received word on the condition of the driver and if there were any other vehicles, besides the one pictured, involved in the Friday morning crash.
