With New Year’s resolutions coming up in a few days here are a few facts about this yearly attempt to start the New Year on a better course. Regardless of the year, each year there are the resolutions at the top of list, like lose weight, quit smoking, get organized, spend less and save more, exercise, and help others.
Weight has been an ongoing issue in my life since I was ten years old. Going through high school as the chubby, awkward, shy kid and many years later it's still a battle. I think many of us have had this battle and have lost weight, gained it back only to try and lose it again. About five or six years ago, I thought I had won the battle.

Happy New Year! 2013 is upon us and it's another chance to make and stick with New Year's resolutions. Looking back at 2012, I came close but didn't quite make my two New Year's resolutions. Since age 10 I have always been overweight. There's been the ups and downs with my weight throughout the years, but I would always gain the weight back and some! I knew I needed to lose weight and I understood my family and friends concern and advice. However, it took me really wanting to do it for myself. I remember that moment when I said to myself 'I've got to change my body'.
