With all of the craziness going on around the country, and the world, it is great to see people stepping up to help those who are in need.

According to WCSH 6, 21 year old Isaiah Mcintrye was recently caught on camera helping an elderly woman across the ice so that she could get to a store in Millinocket.

Mcintrye had no idea anyone was watching when he helped 93 year old Marjorie Moore get to the Katahdin General Store safely.

Isaiah explained that last Tuesday (December 8th) he was in his car when he saw the elderly woman, whom he had never met, struggling to cross a patch of ice.  He hopped out of his car, threw on his mask, and ran to assist her.

It turns out that Samantha Voisine, a young woman from Millinocket, happened to see the situation play out.  She snapped a photo and posted it to her Facebook page, saying:

I don’t know who he is but Thank You to the young gentleman at KG who drives a newer Subaru Impreza in Millinocket Maine who put his mask back on and got out of his car to help this elderly woman across the ice! In a time like this, it gives everyone hope!

It did not take long for both Mcintrye and Moore to be identified by other residents of the small Maine town.  Since then, Voisine's Facebook post has been shared more than 2,500 times.

Isaiah, thanks for giving us a reason to smile!
