Man has been on the moon, several times, but it has been awhile since we’ve been there. Now, a group of former NASA executives have formed a company to send people to the moon.

The last trip to the moon was 40 years ago and NASA was planning another trip but President Obama cancelled the trip saying we have already been there. NASA won’t fly to the moon so the company is looking at other countries like Japan, South Korea and South Africa to take passengers there. The first launch should be by the end of the decade with the hopes of up to 15 to 20 launches in the 2020’s.

While it would be a blast to blast off into space, the price tag for the flight for two people will be $1.5 billion.
