Gentlemen start your engines; the 30th annual Northeast Motorsports expo is this weekend at the Augusta Civic Center. It runs Friday (Jan. 12), Saturday (Jan.13) and Sunday (Jan 14) with everything for racing.

Tickets are $10 for adults, seniors $8, kids 6-12 $5 and under 5 free. On northeastmotorsportsexpo.net you can purchase a weekend pass for $20.

There will be a raffle for a 2018 race car. It’s a turnkey modified racing series (MRS) tour-type modified car. Raffle tickets will be sold but are limited to 200 tickets.

There’s the Pit Stop Challenge that takes place on Sunday. Entries are capped at 12 teams and can register when the show begins. There will a ladies Pit Stop Challenge also on Saturday and 4:30 with great prizes for every participant.

The kids will have their own Pit Stop Challenge for 13 years old and under. Trophies, hoodies and gift certificates can be won.

There will be tons of exhibits and vendors and a special ‘spotter’ seminar on Saturday at noon.
