5 Year Old Boy Drowns During Family Vacation In Maine

According to WABI and the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office, a five year old has died while vacationing with his family in Maine.

The tragedy happened at Ambajejus Lake on Tuesday afternoon.

The boy had reportedly been fishing at the end of a dock when he fell in. His father pulled him from the water and started CPR. Sadly, the boy was pronounced dead after being taken to a nearby hospital.

The identity of the family, nor where they are from, has been released.

According to Wikipedia, Ambajejus Lake is in the Pemadumcook Chain of Lakes. The chain, which also includes Elbow Lake, North Twin Lake, and Pemadumcook Lake are near Baxter State Park and Mount Katahdin.
