A University Of New England Researcher Has Made An Important Discovery About The Early Detection Of Breast Cancer
Srinidi Mohan, an associate professor of pharmacy at UNE, has made an important cancer discovery! A simple blood test for aggressive breast cancers.
According to the KJ, Mohan made the discover while doing research on nutritional supplements. He had never studied cancers before discovering how a molecule could be used to detect aggressive breast cancers.
The specific cancers, estrogen negative and triple negative breast cancer, are often a death sentence when discovered, because they are almost never detected early. 50,000 to 60,000 women a year are diagnosed with these aggressive cancers.
Mohan has a patent pending on his research and is very close to a breakthrough that could produce a simple blood test to detect the breast cancers.
