Normally, when we see pictures and videos from urban explorers, they center on old industrial sites, abandoned hospitals, dilapidated shopping malls, or rickety houses in overgrown yards.

This one is different.

Several urban explorers have visited a recently abandoned New England mansion in the last few years.

The thing that sets this exploration apart from many others is the fact that the home is still in really great shape.  And many of the last owners' possessions were left behind.

While we can't really say that it is like they just dropped everything and ran, it is pretty close.

The abandoned New England mansion

Based on the information presented by the J-Mass and Urbax Vibes channels, the mansion was built in 1979 and has a value between $1.5 million and $3 million.  The urban explorers say the home sits on about eight acres of land.

According to the Urbax Vibes team, the most recent owner of the mansion was a Rabbi who passed away.

Even though urban explorers often post the locations of the places they explore, the teams in the videos we watched went out of their way not to reveal the location of this mansion.  All they say is that it is in New England.  So, it could be Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Rhode Island.  If you do know the location of the mansion, please keep it to yourself.

Based on the postmarks on several letters lying near the front door, it appears that the home has only been abandoned for a few years.  This is backed up by the stockpiles of pandemic PPE and bottled water in the mansion’s garage.

Even in its current state, the home is gorgeous.  Many of the floors are marbled tile, and most of the walls appear to have painted murals.

The mansion even has an indoor pool and hot tub!

One of the most unique things about the home is how much of the remaining technology is dated.  There are several corded phones still mounted to the walls, the home has an integrated intercom system which probably dates back to the 1970s,  and many of the rooms have old CRT TVs.
