After catching a glimpse of the villainous "Mad Titan" Thanos in the post-credits scene of 'The Avengers,' inquiring minds wanted to know when we might see the overarching Marvel baddie again. We know that he'll make his first ever appearance in 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' but might he also pop up in 'Avengers 2'?

Speaking to a group of press during Comic-Con 2014, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige initially stated out right, "He's not a part of 'Avengers 2.'" However, in his very next response, he went on to say:

I think Thanos does what he wants and shows up when he wants to do, and I'm not gonna tell him otherwise. So you don't know exactly. Smirking at the end of 'Avengers' -- by the way, we're still making 'Avengers 2,' so nothing's definitive one way or the other, actually.

Josh Brolin, who portrays Thanos, made a surprise appearance at Comic-Con 2014 during the 'Avengers 2' panel to the surprise of all in attendance. However, this doesn't mean that's definitive proof that he'll feature some way in the Ultron-centered film. But one thing is for sure, fans will see Thanos give us a smirk while lounging on his throne in 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' a classic image repeated on many comic book covers.

'Guardians' hits theaters this coming week on August 1, while 'Avengers 2' will drop May 1, 2015.
