Bears In New York State-Of-Mind
The UMaine Black Bears and the Stony Brook Seawolves have met three times on the gridiron and the home team has won the game each time. When they meet for a fourth time tonight, it will be in New York.
The Bears (2-3,1-1 CAA) enter the game coming off a loss to highly ranked Villanova. The Seawolves (2-4,1-1 CAA) are coming off a win against Towson.
Here are some of the numbers to consider....
- The Stony Brook defense is good...very good. The Seawolves have allowed only 13 points to the opponent in 4 of their 6 games.
- When it comes to total defense the stats show SB #1 in the CAA and in the nation.
- Maine's defense is pretty good too. 3rd in the CAA in passing yards allowed. 5th in points allowed.
- The Black Bears are 6-3 in their last 9 CAA road games.
