Do you sing at local bars?  Are you a karaoke queen?  Do you sing in the shower?

You could have what it takes to win season 4 of Central Maine Idol.

According to the singing competition's Facebook page, one of the biggest changes to this year's event is that Central Maine Idol going state-wide.

Yes, in previous years, the competition was open to people from all over the state, but this year's competition will feature audition locations in several different towns.  You'll be able to audition at the Quarry Tap Room in Hallowell on May 11 and May 25.  On May 18, you'll have the chance to audition at Henry's Public House in Portland.  Auditions will take place from 10 AM to 4 PM each day.

Keep in mind that the competition is only open to people who live in Maine, and that they will be requiring proof of residency in order to participate.  All contestants must be at least 18 years old when they audition.

Contestants must be present at each competition night.  Failure to show up for one of the competition nights means you will be automatically eliminated.

Contestants cannot be under the influence of drugs or alcohol when they perform.  Contestants are not allowed to invite anyone on stage with them, and they are not allowed to use props during their performances.

Competition nights will be on Mondays starting June 3.  The finale will be held on Saturday, July 26.

That night, someone is going to walk away with the $10,000 grand prize.
