Charlie Daniels and Darius Rucker will join other singers, actors and athletes as part of the 'SEC Storied' documentaries set to air on the new SEC Network.

'The Stars Are Aligned' will feature 14 celebrities sharing about their pasts, with each person representing a different college in the Southeastern Conference.

'SEC Storied' was launched by ESPN Films in September 2011 to tell the history of the conference. The SEC Network, which is operated by ESPN, is taking over the series and expanding it to 10 documentaries per year.

Rucker will represent South Carolina, with Daniels representing Tennessee. Other celebrities featured include Jason Dufner (Auburn), James Carville (LSU), Ashley Judd (Kentucky), Shepard Smith (Ole Miss), Amy Robach (Georgia), Willie Geist (Vanderbilt), Melissa Joan Hart (Alabama), Rick Perry (Texas A&M), Ralphie May (Arkansas), Emmitt Smith (Florida), Carl Edwards (Missouri) and Jonathan Papelbon (Mississippi State).

Kenny Chesney will also be involved with the network, going behind the scenes to co-produce 'The Believer,' a film about NCAA's Steve Spurrier, which will air on Aug. 27.

'The Stars Are Aligned,' directed by Andy Billman, will air Aug. 14 on the SEC Network.
