Dancing With the Stars fans have become accustomed to witnessing some major romance in the ballroom, but that romance seemed to hit a fever pitch as Chris Janson performed the classic Elvis Presley hit “Can’t Help Falling in Love” on Monday night (Nov. 5). He sang the song for good friend and DWTS competitor Bobby Bones and his pro partner, Sharna Burgess.

Janson’s heartfelt performance was unmistakably beautiful, but there were many other reasons why the radio host’s performance was noteworthy. Bones announced shortly afterward that he has been named a full-time mentor on the next season of American Idol, and after promising he would give DWTS judge Len Goodman a kiss if he gave him a good score, he did!

Bones seemed thrilled to have Janson there to perform for him, speaking of their longtime friendship before the dance. It was Bones who first played Janson's breakthrough single, “Buy Me a Boat,” helping to launch his career. Janson is currently on his Waitin’ on 5 Tour, which will see him make his headlining debut in Los Angeles later in November.

Janson was one of several country artists who performed on Country Night on Dancing With the Stars, including Lauren Alaina, Cole Swindell, Lanco and Carly Pearce. Each of the singers provided musical accompaniment to some beautiful dances throughout the night. A double elimination sent two couples home for the season at the end of the evening.
