Country News: Free Alan Jackson Concert for Stanley Cup Finals

The Nashville Predators are in the NHL Finals for the first time as they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins and country stars are behind the team. This Saturday is game 3 of the finals and Alan Jackson will put on a free concert before the game.  According to theboot.com the show is being called ‘Broadway Smash: Preds Party With a Purpose,’ Jackson’s performance and the accompanying activities will kick off a series of watch parties for the game along Broadway in Nashville.

Josh Gracin and fiancée Katie Weir are now husband and wife. According to people.com the couple was married on May 6. The couple met in January 2015 and got engaged in October. Gracin finished fourth on American Idol in 2003.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Vince Gill will temporarily join the Eagles at the Classic East and Classic West festivals later this year. West is in L.A while the East is in New York City. Following the death of Glenn Frey, Gill will file the hole left in their lineup. Frey’s son Deacon will also help to fill his father’s shoes.
