Country News: Jake Owen to Have Baseball Field Named After Him

Jake Owen loves sports almost as much as music, and soon, the singer will be able to see his name on a baseball field! Jake Owen Field is set to open this summer in the country star’s hometown of Vero Beach, Florida. NASCAR driver and long time friend Kevin Harvick made the announcement during the NASCAR champion’s yearly fundraiser. A Youth Development Park that’s scheduled to open in the summer of 2017 in Vero Beach will be named in his honor.

Surprise! Little Big Town‘s Kimberly Schlapman, her husband Stephen and their daughter Daisy Pearl are now a family of four. Schlapman wrote that the family was very excited to introduce Daisy’s little sister, Dolly Grace. Dolly was adopted by the Schlapmans through a domestic adoption.

Tanya Tucker has been forced to postpone a few of her upcoming shows following an onstage fall and a recent bout of bronchitis. According to a statement from Tucker’s management she has been hospitalized in Texas following a fall during a recent concert, in which the singer fractured a vertebrae in her back and injured her rib. While in the hospital, Tucker was diagnosed with bronchitis, and she is now recovering through physical therapy and breathing treatments. Therefore, she is postponing three upcoming shows in January.
