Dolly Parton‘s home county is recovering from deadly and destructive wildfires, and the country icon is stepping up to help in a big way: She’s organizing a telethon to support those affected. Parton has scheduled the telethon for December 13 in Nashville, to raise money for her My People Fund. Dolly established the fund to provide $1,000 a month for six months to each of the families who lost their home due to the wildfires in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Further information about the telethon has yet to be announced.
