Country News: Shania Twain Coming to the Voice

The latest country star to be an advisor on The Voice will be Shania Twain. She will be on the show as mentor for the finalists on Monday April 24^th.

Twain will help the top 12 contests get ready for their performance and coach them in stage performance and on how to deliver a song. She also told Rolling Stone magazine she has had to learn to sing again after a vocal cord disorder that gave her hoarseness and trouble speaking. That’s what has kept her out of the studio for so long while she was getting voice therapy.

In 2015, Blake Shelton filed a lawsuit against In Touch magazine after they claimed he was out of control and headed for rehab. Shelton has asked a judge in California to dismiss the lawsuit. Both Shelton and In Touch were in court to request a dismissal. Shelton was seeking $2 million in damages. According to tasteofcountry.com there was not a reason given for Shelton dropping the lawsuit.

The King, George Strait has granted a special wish for a young fan from Little Rock, Arkansas. Chris Pair is a huge fan of Strait’s but learned he would soon lose his hearing and wanted to meet ‘the man’ face to face before losing his hearing for good. His dream came true this past Saturday when he meet George Strait in Las Vegas. Chase and his mother meet with Strait and according to tasteofcountry.com they received floor seats and autographed swag.
