It's great to share stories with a happy ending this time of year and here's a story of a man and his dog reuniting after seven years. Dan Kesler and his doberman, B.A., were living in Raleigh, North Carolina when a thunderstorm had spooked B.A. and he ran away.

Years went by and Kesler had moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Meanwhile, last month, B.A. was brought into the Animal Protection Society's Shelter in Durham, North Carolina. Workers found a microchip, a device placed under the skin to help identify animals, on the dog. The shelter was unable to reach Kesler but they reached the second contact number for the dog. Steve House, one of Kesler's friends, called him in Arizona to tell him the news.

B.A. was flown out to Arizona and was reunited with Kesler.
