Earning Dolly Parton’s stamp of approval is an honor in any aspect of life, but earning it on your relationship from someone who’s been married almost 50 years? That’s humbling. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani got that endorsement, as Parton tells ET she thinks 'The Voice' coaches make a cute couple.

"I think they look great as a couple, and they've both been through similar things," Parton admits, saying of Stefani: " I met her when I was out there [Los Angeles] doing The Voice and she seems very sweet."

Ever the Southern woman, Parton was sure not to imply a disapproval of Shelton’s former wife, either.

“But I love Miranda also!” she adds with a smile. "They are all good people and I wish them all the best."

Parton also talked about her excitement over her goddaughter Miley Cyrus’ rekindling of her relationship with actor Liam Hemsworth, gave ET a rundown of the must-haves in her dressing room — cough drops, water and chips and dip.

In June, Parton will embark on her first full tour in 25 years, hitting 60 cities in the U.S. and Canada along the way. Dates have yet to be announced, but the tour coincides with the release of a new double-disc album Pure & Simple With Dolly’s Biggest Hits. In May, the icon and husband Carl Dean will renew their wedding vows in celebration of fifty years together. Parton says she'll finally get the wedding she never had.
