Seems hard to believe because it’s been around for so long, but experts predict the world has about 20 years’ worth of minable gold left. Gold has been the sign of wealth for 4,000 years and this year may be when it sees its peak.

The combination of low, very low, concentrations of gold in the Earth’s crust and few high quality deposits means things are scarce.

Not only are the experts worried about gold but they are predicting there is only 40 years’ worth of platinum, copper and nickel left.

Peak gold years are not unusual, what makes the 2015 peak gold prediction different is mining output is fairly low and, unlike the past, new discoveries of gold have been falling rapidly.
