The very first 'Emerge Film Festival' will be Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14. The inaugural festival will bring a diverse selection of Maine-made and international films to the twin cities. Categories will include documentary, short and feature length films.

40 films from around Maine, the U.S. and the world will be featured kicking off with a 'Beer and Horror night,' that will include 'The Friday the 13th Horror Film Double Feature' including two films from Maine filmmaker, Corey Norman. Saturday, a full day of films–including a grouping of student films–will be presented. The highlight of Saturday night is the long-awaited first cut of Boo Dog Films’ 'Richard3,' shot largely with Maine cast and crew.

Venues will include the Auburn Public Library, the Franco Center, Free Grace Presbyterian Church, Lewiston Public Library and the Public Theatre.
