There was a moment of silence yesterday at Edward Little High School in Auburn as they paid tribute to former Assistant Principal Rob Bennett. Bennett had died earlier in the day after battling brain cancer.

Bennett, 60, had retired last spring because of health issues. The 2011-12 yearbook was dedicated to him. He was also sponsored by the E.L. community in the 2012 Dempsey Challenge, which raised money for the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer, Hope & Healing in Lewiston. Bennett was an Edward Little alumnus and had taught graphics and automotives. Current Assistant Principal, Steve Galway, says Bennett was loved and respected by students, staff and parents.
