Hey Maine: Here's Some Country News

Beginning today, October 14, Shania Twain fans will be able to hear her catalog in a whole new way. For the first time, the country star’s four studio albums will be available on vinyl.

Twain’s 1993 self-titled debut album, 1995’s The Woman in Me, 1997’s Come on Over and 2002’s Up! It will be on green vinyl for country fans and on red vinyl for pop fans. It will be available on vinyl at record stores and wherever vinyl albums are sold and on Amazon.

Luke Bryan always has a memorable Halloween costume but as it turns out, he has absolutely nothing to do with choosing them! In recent years, Bryan has hilariously dressed as both a chicken and an old lady. The one to choose the Halloween costumes each year is his wife Caroline. She picks it and he ‘has’ to wear it.

This holiday season, Chris Young will team up with Toys for Tots to collect gifts for disadvantaged children. He’ll be playing Santa on his upcoming fall and winter tour stops. Young will collect donations along his I’m Comin’ Over Tour stops from Nov. 17 – Dec. 10. Those attending one of these shows are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or book.

When the 2016 CMA Awards nominees were revealed in late August, both fans and artists were pleasantly surprised to find Maren Morris‘ name in several categories. The newcomer is the most-nominated artist at the upcoming awards show with a total of seven nods. Chris Stapleton is nominated in six categories; Keith Urban has five nods including ‘Entertainer of the Year’. Eric Church has five nominations including Male Vocalist. The 2016 CMA Awards air on Nov. 2 on ABC.
