A 140-pound black guinea hog has been on the run for several weeks after escaping from a trailer as it was being taken to Scott's Meat Shop in Woodland.The hog was from the O'Meara Family Farm of New Sweden. Two hogs were being taken to Scott's Meat Shop to get slaughtered, that's when they discovered that the door on the trailer was opened and the pigs got out.

The hunt was on, one of the pigs was soon spotted and was 'taken care of'. The other pig has been on the loose ever since.

The Guinea Hog is said to have a moderate size, are excellent at foraging and have a friendly temperament. The pig has the capability of living in the Maine woods for it's 20-year life span.
